The Story
Well, to add my own little story to this pretty cool page, I would like to tell you about how I got my latest heartbreak. But first, I want to start by telling you a little about our history and how we came to be.
His name is Josh, and I was, and still am, completely in love with him. He is 18, and I am 19.
We first met when we were kids, around about the time he was born... our parents were the best of friends. After our parents drifted apart, we forgot about each other. I don't even really know how much we played together, or even when we stopped.
Later, I was dating a guy (who turned out to be my second heart-break), and I saw Josh with his girlfriend at the time. We were at a park 'n ride, and I was hanging with some friends we had in common. I was never introduced to him, and I don't think he even noticed me. I don't think I would have even remembered him if we ever met, again.
After, that, Fate was determined to make us remember each other, and so we met again, hanging with the same group of friends, Josh by himself, and me still with my second love. But that time, we had noticed each other. He didn't really stick completely in my mind, and I was determined to stay with my second love, so I had no intention of dating him. But he had with me.
About two months after my heart was broken for the second time, Fate finally kicked me in the ass, and Josh and I met for the last time, as just friends. We hit it off right away. The special thing was, it was completely silent. I don't really recall us ever talking too much, but once he took my hand and held it for the first time, I fell for him. We walked around, but not really with, our group of friends we were hanging with. We were kinda in our own little world.
Josh and I had wandered around the park, and I remember all of us laying in the grass, and he layed next to me. And on me for a bit, 'cause we had wrestled for five seconds, lol.
I remember talking with him for a bit, through a friend of mine we had in common. She pointed out that he was really strong for his size (he's about 5' 10", and weighs around 150 lbs, I guess), and that he could hold me and her with ease. Well, he took the challenge and I hopped on his back, while my friend was being held up on the front. She fell off about five seconds later, but I didn't move. He kind of just looped his arms around my legs, and we walked around for a bit, my head resting on the back of his neck. I think I might have closed my eyes for a bit, a half-hidden smile plastered all over my face.
We arrived at a set of stairs, and he set me down, and sat down at the top. After a pause, I sat down, too, between his legs, my back to him. He had wrapped his arms around me, kind of casually, and I leaned into him. I was so comfortable. Almost like I belonged there.
After, we kind of drifted to the parking lot's middle and sat around on the pavement. It was about 10 or 11 at night, so there were no cars to accidentally run us over. We sat together the whole time, and he had slipped his hand into mine. Josh held me like I always wanted. I felt like I was wanted and needed, and like he never wanted to let me go.
But once the night was through, he was a complete gentleman, and walked me by ourselves back to my car. We had held hands the entire time, all the way around the building. My car was on the other side, a little ways away from our group's location.
He had given me his number, and we set up some time together to hang out, again, the very next day, right after I got out of work.
But the best part of the night was when it was time to say goodbye. Josh took my hand and kissed me sweetly. Not an open-mouthed one, but a soft, strong kiss. A perfect first kiss. I was stunned, and my head was rushing so fast, I almost wanted to scream and laugh at the same time.
When he said goodbye and went to leave, I got my senses back, and grabbed him and kissed him back. Again, no slobber-kissing, but I gave him back what he gave me.
I will never forget his face, when we said our final goodbye. He was grinning so widely I thought he was going to connect his ears with the corners of his lips. I had gotten into my car and watched him walk until he disappeared around the corner, back to our friends.
The next day, I called him, but got no answer. It kind of bumbed me out, but instead of just sitting around and waiting for him to call me back, I went home and got changed from my work clothes.
About a hour or so after I called him, he called me back. My heart skipped a beat once I heard his voice on the phone. He had been hanging out with his friends. They wanted to go to B-Town (about 30 minutes away), to go to the mall. Josh didn't want to go, because he wanted to be home for my call. But they dragged him, anyways, and hung out for most of the day.
Later in our relationship, he confessed to me that he almost killed his friend, because when he checked his messages on his cell, and saw he missed my call, he flipped and almost strangled him. lol.
Well, back to the time-line, he picked me up and we hung out with one of his friends. Most of the time, we sat in the marking-lot, together, where we had met, and talked, while his friend was out in his friend's car, looking for someone to bring to the movies with him. We had all decided to go to the Drive-In and see our movie, "Cars".
We did a lot of talking about ourselves and we also did a lot of, well, kissing. :) We had connected so well. He started to call me "Babe" before he even asked me out. lol.
As we sat in his car, I had my feet across his lap, relaxing, waiting for his friend to come back with news on a date or not, I had looked at him, with a smirk on my face. I had said, "Well, you going to ask me out or what?"
He had smiled, and I swear I saw his cheeks turn red, and he had said something about that he was going to wait a couple of days before asking me. But he had looked at me, in my eyes and said right after, "Will you go out with me?"
To say the least, I wanted to just scream "YES!" to him and just hug him and kiss him. But, I wanted to play a little with him, so I said, "I'll give you my answer at the movies."
He nodded, but I don't remember anything that happned after that, until we got to the drive-in.
About ten minutes into the movie, I had looked at him and smiled. All I said was, "Yes." He looked a little confused, and asked me, "Yes, what?" I replied, "Yes, I'll go out with you."
I don't really remember most of the movie, because we had jumped into the back seat and made-out for a bit. lol. We had also talked, too. I mean, we were really attracted to each other, and couldn't keep our hands off each other, but at the same time, it wasn't all lust. We would have been perfectly fine if all we could do was hold hands. Just being together was what we wanted. Making-out was a perk. ;)
That day was June 19th, 2006. A day I will never forget.
A sad part about our date was that I had looked at him and said, "Don't fall for me." You see, I was still in love with my ex at the time, and I wanted Josh to know. I didn't want any secrets. I told him I was scared that I was going to get another heartbreak, and I didn't think I would survive another one.
He told me that he would never break up with me. That in his life, he was always the one left behind. So, he guarentteed me that if anything, I would break up with him. I told him that, if anything, it was the other way around.
Turns out, I was right.
So, yeah, that's my first story. There will be another, later, of how we ended. Then after that, there will be more about our lifes and how he told me he loved me, our problems, our crazy-days, and the sweet things he used to do for me.
Thank you for reading.
