The Story

Hello
I'm 30 years old and feel mutually in love with a man that works at the university I attend as a student. He pursued me. And eventually love blossomed. There were several complexities that we both were prepared to look past, purely because we realised we had finally found the loves of our lives. He is 20 years older than me, and has a teenage daughter.
We spent everyday together, and when we found ourselves apart, we were always on the phone. He only lives 5 minutes up the road too.
Early last year I became ill. And decided to tell some members of the university staff about my illness. (Physical not mental) mostly the teachers. They were incredibly supportive.
Mostly, Steve.
Steve was unlike any man I knew. Maybe because he was older than I? He was very funny! Witty! Incredibly sensitive, plagued with nerves at the best of times. Intellectual, a talker! Thinker. Thought too much at the best of times. Over analysed. I think we both did. He wrote his thesis on 'Shame.' Had lived alone since the breakup of his relationship with the mother of his daughter. About 8 years prior.
We shared a lot in common!
When I went into hospital, Steve came to visit me. And we talked on the phone everyday.
When I egressed, he told me he had feelings for me. I was still unsure how I felt, as I knew he was program manager of my course, and considerably older. Eventually, the age didn't bother me. Nor him.
We became closer and closer over the months. Steve confessed his love for me to two of his co-workers, who were very supportive.
More details to come...
