The Story
Meh... Here I sit, heart broken once again.
I mean, we've all had it, right?
We've all had our heart broken, and we felt like it was the worst feeling ever.
The tears that, even if they don't come out, feel bittersweet.
The feeling in your throat that makes you think you can't talk right.
I'm thinking most people have had their hearts broken more than once. I know I sure have. And this time is the first time in 2007 that it's happened to me.
I liked this girl last year, who claimed to like me but one day I found out she actually liked some other guy. I talked to her and she said she does like some other guy and she's sorry for leading me on and really wants to be friends.
Now, I want you all out there who have been through this to know that what I did next is something that I still smile about to this day.
I walked away.
Yup.
To helkl with her, I said, I don't need people like that in my life.
Guess what? I was right. Sometimes, you have people enter your life that seem perfect and whatnot, but for some reason, they don't fit. It's like...
a toaster.
Let's say you have this toaster you love, and one day, it just breaks.
You know it'll be too much of a hassle to fix. So the rational thing to do is throw it away.
And if you think about it, it makes sense.
But I digress.
So after that girl, I was talking to her best friend for a while and after getting to know her well I realized that I was in like with her.
"Oh no", I thought.
"Wrong feeling wrong place wrong time wrong person".
Yup. But I kept trying my best to convince myself I actually stood a chance.
Well today I found out I don't.
Guess why? Yup. Same reason as last time.
Ouch. Doubleshotted.
Moral of the story; Life is about balance. Sure, right now I don't feel great (though
writing about it has helped), but one of these days will be awesome.
Why?
It's jsut the way life works.
