The Story
I am sick of typicalism. The whole typical night and the typical guy and blah blah blah. So when I went to this party one night I realized that love can occur in a world of typicalism but in unlikely circumstance if that makes any sense. Its like it can occur through all the bullshit in the world. Everything about this night was so much different from every other night I have ever shared with someone. Through all the typical things we did, there was something very different from this night, this guy.
It was a certain way that he looked at me. A way that said "You dont exist." When we shared our first words, There was no bullshit, no typical phrases or sayings just "hello". Never in a million years could I see myself with this guy. He was simply out of my league.
Through the course of the party we drank, talked, danced, fell, and many other stupid typical things people do at parties.
So eventually the party ended. He was too drunk to drive, so he came with me and my ride. We arrived at my room. Smiles. Clothes. Shower.Kisses. Bed. Hugs. Spooning. Eventually we fell asleep. I subcontiously listened him breathe. On occasion he coughs. Throughout the whole night my heart jumps. I have no idea why I am feeling this way about him. Its just like every other hook up: no feeling, no ties.
When he kissed me he meant it. When he talked to me, he looked in my eyes. He was intrested. The next day we woke up next to each other. But not just next to each other, we looked at each other and smiled. There was no need for words. Or was there? Should I have said something? What would I say?
When he left, he said I will definately message you. DEFINATELY. Does this mean anything. Every other guy said, "See you around." I never wnated to see them again anyways. But this guy, I wanted to see him. Even if it was for a second while we pass each other on the street.
I loved him. For one night I loved him. For one night he was mine and I was his. I never really thought about hooking up in this kind of way, but I did. And I kept it.
Needless to say he never called. This was typical. I found love in a non typical situation and lost it typically.
Story of my life. The worst part is I never believed in love before that night. To me it was an excuse, but now its a reason. I still think about him a lot, but eventually I will get over it and it will be just another chapter in my book of life.
