The Story

He was my husband. You see a couple years back we found out I had cancer. They removed it and everything was fine. But in order for me to qualify for insurance we couldnt be married. So we got a divorce and still dated. He remained the love of my life and that was that, or so I thought. Recently he had been acting funny and hiding his cell all the time. Putting it on vibrate. And I had noticed that when we were around certain friends he acted differently. Then his best friend said I think they have something going, I checked the cell records and found out it had been going on for about three months. He kissed her when things were fine and there wasnt anything wrong. Now he has spent the night at her house and treats me like I am the one who was wrong. It all happened so fast I never even got any real explanation for it. Then while I was talking to one of my girlfriends they said well remember when he was acting funny before. Then it hit me this wasnt the first time. That realization came to me like a punch in the stomach. So I sit here wondering what did I do wrong. He told me a list of things, small things. None of the reasons so far really make any sense. I am not so sure his wanting to be free has anything to do with me. He just doesnt want to be in a relationship. He wanted to be friends with benefits.
