The Story
He became everything I wanted. At first my heart didn't belong to him but eventually I gave in. He was my first everything: my first kiss, my first touch, my first love. Although I was young it seemed we we're invincible.
It had been a tough year. My parents didn't approve of him. He was well not to their standards. They made it their mission to keep us apart, but for the most part they couldn't. It wasn't until last April things went totally wrong. He was in orchestra and so was I, meaning we were going to be together on that year's ski trip to Colorado. We decided to take advantage of the thousands of miles separating us from our drama back home. Things as you can say went too far. I don't mean to say I lost anything there but I can say we did things we knew we shouldn't have done. From then on things changed, we were constantly getting into arguments. Kissing didn't seem to be enough anymore and he started to get less and less gentle and caring. We seemed to be drifting apart. When summer came I questioned if we would make through the three long months. He then told me I wasn't the only one. I was shocked and lost breath and control. I immediately left him w/o wanting to hear more. Why? Why was he doing this to me what happened to the promises the words of love the happiness. It seemed to all have disappeared. The next month he was deciding if me or some other girl he liked in 1st grade was going to own his heart. Me, well I sat on the sidelines, waiting for him. Finally, he chose me. But it was short lived, we only went another month before my mom found out I was planning to have him over w/o them there. They were beyond angry. I had no choice but to ask him to wait for me. He promised he would. For the last month of summer I fell into depression. All words that came from my mouth seemed to have spite it them. He wasn't quite helping either like he used to when I had previously had my heart broken from his best friend. He eventually broke his promise and asked out someone else w/o even telling me. Instead he told me that he loved me until after when dropped the bomb. For a nights I had nightmares and couldn't sleep. All those good times and hardships we went through seemed to be for nothing. I felt like I was worth nothing. After that I decided to cut him from my life. I still see him everyday at school but I no longer acknowledge him. I had previously hated the idea of girls hating their exes but I knew it would hurt me to be friends with him knowing he had changed and hurt me the way he did.
Time right now is the only thing healing me. Friends aren't as understanding. But I can thank this guy for some things...
